About Syndi Shefer, M.S., CCC-SLP:
Syndi is an ASHA certified member who holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence. She has been practicing as a speech-language pathologist for over 10 years and has a broad spectrum of experience within the field. She graduated with distinction from California State University, Northridge in 2010 with a masters of science in Communication Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology. She has a vast knowledge in and extensive training in evaluating and treating disorders or delays in language, pragmatics, articulation, voice and fluency, among many others. She has worked extensively in public schools, private and non-profit clinics. She works with children from ages 12 months and up but her passion lies with the preschool and elementary population and loves to “get on their level” and help them achieve their ultimate speech and language goals.
Syndi enjoys working with adults with accent reduction, acquired brain injury, cognitive disorders or swallowing evaluations and treatment.
Recently, she has completed continuing education courses on speech sound disorders, specifically the tactile cueing hierarchy of PROMPT therapy.
She lives in the Orange County area with her husband and three children.
